Portland has large runs of king salmon that run through it in the Spring, Summer and Fall. Portland Oregon is also home to many very productive. Spring Chinook Salmon fishing on the Willamette River and Columbia River bring thousands of fisherman to the Portland area to fish for springers and some of the best fishing happens right in downtown Portland Oregon. These spring chinook salmon are the best eating salmon anywhere. The Columbia River sturgeon fishing is second to none and the Willamette River sturgeon fishing is even better.
