the fall months for our biggest Salmon - the Fall Chinook or King
Salmon as they are also known. Yaquina River and Bay offers great
fall salmon fishing with fish over 50 pounds caught each year. The fall
Chinook here are made up of both wild and hatchery fish that
are raised to fingerling size then released into the bay to mature
in the Ocean. These salmon are Newport offers lots to do when not on the Yaquina river fishing. The "Oregon Coast Aquarium", the historic waterfront district, Yaquina head and the areas many beaches and natural areas are great family activities. Lots of great Restaurants, art galleries, motels, beach front vacation rentals, bed and breakfasts make Newport a great fishing destination for the whole family.

numbers of salmon it is a very enjoyable and productive salmon
fishing location. We guide fishing trips in Newport from mid
September to mid November and offer guided crab fishing from
September to January. We also offer a combo Crab - Salmon trip.
